Four trends for weddings in 2023

As we come to the end of 2022 it’s time to look forward to the new year and the upcoming trends for weddings in 2023. We’ve noticed many new trends popping up over the last few months and expect to see these become even more popular in the next year. From unique colours, and pallets to design ideas for wedding ceremonies, keep reading for the wedding trends we’re looking forward to for 2023.

Bold colour schemes

Over the past few years, we’ve seen bold colours cropping up more and more in weddings, but 2023 is the year we expect to see this trend truly explode. It’s time to say goodbye to the traditional white dress and pastel shades, with more couples opting for more daring colour schemes that reflect their own personal style.

If you’re planning a wedding for 2023 don’t be afraid to be more out there and experiment with your colour scheme. Of course, if you want to stick to a more neutral palette then you absolutely can, but the important thing to take away from this is that there are no rules on what colours you can have in your wedding. If you love bold colours then this is your year to experiment.

Ceremony backdrops

Couples have always spent a lot of time planning and decorating for the reception, but we’re now seeing more of people’s unique styles coming out in ceremony backdrops. People are getting truly creative with their ceremonies now and choosing backdrops to reflect their personalities as a couple. From hanging greenery to statement arches, there are so many ways to make your ceremony space unique. It also makes for a fantastic photo opportunity on your big day.

Reception entertainment

Your wedding reception should be a fun and festive celebration of your marriage, so it’s important to choose the right entertainment. Gone are the days of hiring a band or DJ, in fact, we’re seeing less of this at weddings and more people opting for a playlist that guests can add to before the wedding. Now, couples are looking for more unique and interactive forms of entertainment.

We’re seeing everything from fire dancers to aerialists. If you want your wedding to be truly memorable, think outside the box when it comes to entertainment!

Sustainability

It’s no secret that weddings can create a lot of waste, and instead of just accepting that more couples are trying to think sustainably when planning their big day. This can be done in many different ways, whether that means committing to no single-use plastic on your big day or choosing to have a second-hand wedding gown. Second-hand wedding gowns are also a lot more affordable, and since it’s most likely only been worn once before they’re always in great condition!

So, there you have it, the top three wedding trends for 2023. We can’t wait to see what next year has in store for us and to see all of these wedding trends in the flesh.
