Spring Wedding Trends

Popular trends we see at spring weddings

Spring is always a popular season for weddings. The weather is warmer than those chilly winter months, but not as hot as it is in summer, giving you a chance of having a nice neutral temperature on a hopefully sunny day!

There’s something so special about spring weddings, from the abundance of flowers to the pastel colours. Not to mention, it’s a season of welcome changes: the weather gets warmer, the days get longer, and all the flowers come alive. As with all weddings, we see many trends in weddings that crop up during spring. Keep reading for some popular trends we see at spring weddings that you can incorporate into your own wedding if you wish!

Pastel colours

Pastel colours are a staple for spring, and this is no different at weddings. Many couples choose to incorporate pastel colours when they are having their wedding in spring, and there are lots of different ways to do this.

A popular one is bridesmaid dresses – pastel colours create a really fresh feeling to your bridal party and flatter most skin tones and body types. You don’t have to stop there though, you can have pastel colours in various parts of your wedding. Maybe you choose to have seat covers in this colour or focus on more pastel tones for your flowers. The possibilities are endless and really depend on people’s personal preferences and styles.

Lots of flowers

Spring is when the flowers bloom, so it’s no surprise that a lot of spring wedding trends take a lot of inspiration from flowers. There is nothing more beautiful than a wedding in spring that is just packed with different floral decorations – and absolutely nothing beats the smell of beautiful fresh flowers!

Taking inspiration from flowers doesn’t have to stop at just having a lot of them at your wedding. You can choose your favourite flower and choose to base your colour scheme around the flower so that everything ties in together. For example, if you love cosmos, you can have these flowers at your wedding as well as bring in the purple colours elsewhere. It creates a really sleek and immersive feeling for your wedding.

Lace wedding gowns

Lace wedding gowns are of course popular all year round, but there’s something about lace and spring weddings that just match together perfectly. A lot of lace takes inspiration from flowers and nature and can be found in intricate lace designs. This of course is perfect for a spring wedding as nature and flowers is what it’s all about!

For brides who maybe want a hint of lace but don’t want their entire dress to be about lace, you can buy additional pieces to put over your dress for certain parts of the day. For example, detachable sleeves or an overskirt. If you haven’t purchased a lace dress but are looking to incorporate some into your gown, alterations are available to make these changes for you.

Spring is a beautiful time of the year to get married, so it’s no surprise that so many people choose to do so. Whether you choose to stick with these trends or go completely against them, the most important part is that you have the wedding you’ve been dreaming of and enjoy your big day!
